Grab your pen & paper, it's time to learn SERVPRO® style!

Have you ever wondered.. What goes on behind the scenes? What goes into place during our cleaning process? Well wonder no more! The type of soil and the surface will often cause the cleaning methods to vary. For example, some of the most common surfaces are paint sheen, type of wallpaper, and/or floor covering. Steps may vary depending on the incident and job needing to be done. However, this is the breakdown of the "Steps in our cleaning process"

Step1: Staging Stage products, tools, and equipment in a safe, yet convenient location near the work area.

Step 2: Remove and Secure Remove and secure any items from the area such as wall hangings, curtains, and fragile items from the room. Be sure to protect your furniture.

Step 3: Clean Ceiling Clean ceiling systematically, working from one side of the room to another, while carefully cleaning around light fixtures to help prevent breakage or damage.

Step 4: Clean Walls Clean walls working from bottom to top, or top to bottom. The direction of cleaning is based on the selected cleaning method, Some walls will require multiple methods due to type of paint, décor, or wall trim.

Step 5: Clean Exposed Flooring Clean exposed flooring, re-position furniture, and clean remaining floor covering. Based on the type of flooring, some furniture will be blocked or padded to protect the flooring and/or furniture from damage while the flooring dries.

Step 6: Replace Wall Hangings Replace wall hanging and curtain and set furniture and belonging into final positions.  For more information, contact your helpful SERVPRO. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube for more informative post on!

Fall into Autumn with a Professional Home Cleaning

11/10/2023 (Permalink)

Call on SERVPRO of Woodcrest / El Cerrito / Lake Mathews this Fall

After a summer of entertaining, indoor-outdoor living, and wear and tear, a deep fall cleaning isn’t just refreshing but it’s also necessary.

And if you’re like most of us, you may not have time to do all the tasks yourself. Getting a professional home cleaning can help you maintain the cleanliness of your home without taking up all of your time.

Read on for some of the things to expect in a professional home cleaning!

General Cleaning

A professional home cleaner will dust all the flat surfaces as well as knick-knacks, lights, etc. You’ll also have all doors and cabinets spot cleaned.

The mirrors are polished. And all upholstery will either be vacuumed (fabric sofas) or polished (leather sofas).

Professional Home Cleaning for the Kitchen

The kitchen is more than just countertops and stoves. With a professional kitchen cleaning, you’ll also have your appliances cleaned and polished.

The cleaner will clean the window above the sink, sanitize the countertops, and wipe all the kitchen furniture.

Sinks, drains, faucets, and soap dispensers all receive a thorough clean.

Bathrooms

When a professional cleans your bathroom, they’ll sanitize and scrub showers, tubs, sinks, countertops, and commodes.

The showerhead, the drains, and other fixtures are cleaned and polished.

Shower racks, shelves, mirrors, and soap dishes are also cleaned.

Regular deep cleaning in the bathroom can prevent the spread of unpleasant odors throughout the house.

Floors

Professional home cleaning includes caring for all floors. From hardwood to tile, you can trust that your floors will shine after a professional clean.

Having your floors regularly cleaned can keep the floors in good condition for longer. This increases the life of your floor surfaces meaning you’ll have to replace and repair them less frequently.

Ceilings, Fans, Blinds, and Baseboards

Some tasks don’t need to be done every week.

Professional cleaners rotate the cleaning of ceilings, fans, blinds, and baseboards on each visit. These lower-traffic items receive less wear and tear than other parts of the home but still need regular cleaning and maintenance.

You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that you’re not neglecting these important parts of your home.

Choose Your Schedule and Services

If you’re satisfied with your cleaning, you can receive regular services from one of our trained professionals. We offer weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly (4 weeks) services.

If there are certain tasks you prefer to do yourself, or that you don’t need, we can customize our services to meet your specific needs.

We offer “green” or eco-friendly cleaning services that use products that won’t be dangerous for families to live around.

Freshen up Your Home For Fall

After all the wear and tear of the busy summer season, it’s time to give your home a little TLC with a professional home cleaning.
